Why is it they always seem to go after the illegals from neighbouring countries?

What about those from the African countries. and even some Westerners. Although they may get some

Africans and Westerners occasionally, they seem to concentrate mainly on the Burmese and Cambodians.

Could it be the Burmese and Cambodians outnumber the westerners by 100 to 1 ...?

Meanwhile, immigration police and related officials arrested four Chinese men on Thursday who allegedly worked at an oilfield service company in tambon Bo Rang of Phetchabun's Wichien Buri district without work permits.

The four Chinese nationals were identified as Jiang Yongbao, 45, Wang Kupeng, 35, Gao Liming, 30, and Gao Zhidong, 36

So should the company not be heavily fined for use foreigners workers without proper visa

I wonder how they get into Thailand... must have some help at the borders?

Still a lucrative pastime for Thais smuggling in slave labour!

And which two Thai government entities are responsible for controlling and guarding the borders???

But no one in the local media ever wants to point the discussion is THAT direction.... a la the Erawan bombers example.

It's all there in the "law of large numbers." According to Warren Weaver's book on the theory of probability, the statistics of the New York Department of Health show that in 1955 the average number of dogs biting people reported per day was 75.3. In 1956, 73.6; in 1957, 73.5; in 1958, 74.5; in 1959, 72.4. How could the dogs know when they should start biting and when they should stop biting? A similar statistical reliability was shown by cavalry horses administering fatal kicks to soldiers in the German army in the last century. They were apparently guided by the so-called equation of probability. And then the murders in England and Wales, however different in character and motives, they displayed the same respect for the law of statistics. Since the end of the First World War, the average number of murders over successive decades was 1920-29, 3.8 per million of population; in the thirties, 3.7; the forties, 3.9; the fifties, 3.3; the sixties, 3.5. It’s there in statistics. Why? The human intellect by nature wants to know “Why?” The only answer is “Why not? TIT...”

Once you get outside the cities you will find many places where you can literally just walk across the border, some have an army post but they seem to let locals from both sides cross freely

Last year we visited Tachileik, a couple of Kms further up the river from the official Immigration point on the Thai side there was a temporary crossing people included police were going across to the casino to buy duty free booze.

Nobody there to stop them so why would you need smugglers.

Wow from Mr Xenophobic himself !

Funny. I'll take the bait.

I'm not xenophobic. I am, however, highly intolerant - of arrogant, superficial idiots who have contributed nearly nothing to humanity but strut around like they are unaware.

The illegals from Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia are doing jobs, the Thais don't want, because the jobs are very hard and poorly paid. Instead of doing those jobs, the Thais go to Japan, Korea and other countries with easy entry (no visa) and work there illegal, because salary is better than in Thailand.
What a world.

How does one construe misogyny out of admiration for the looks of a female? Clearly, this site is becoming PC

well some Thais say farang, some say falang. In Bangkok the 'R' is usually pronounced as an 'L' so that rong rien (school) is pronounced as long lien, It used to confuse me, however like the trannys I'm flexible (but not with a tranny)

One really feels that members of this PC cult should stick to their own cult websites rather than trying to force their cult values onto non cult members. To have freedom OF religion, you must also have freedom FROM religion.
