Can you recommend some cheap place to stay (no dorm room) for one person, with AC and Wifi (under THB 1 000/night) near MBK?

Try Krit Thai Mansion(adjacent to National Stadium BTS) or any of the places on Soi Kasem San 1 and 2.

Forget Krit Thai Mansion. They've renamed it Krit Thai Residence and put the prices up. Look at what they have in Soi Kasem San 1 and 2 instead.
