Security office stabbed dead in front of Samut Sakhon liquor factory

A security officer was fatally stabbed by a colleague inside a booth in front of a liquor factory where the two were on duty late Sunday night.
 

Police said Chartchai Wansook, 51, was stabbed once in his chest and died inside the security booth at the gate of the Krathing Daeng (1988) Liquor factor in Samut Sakhon's Muang district around 11pm.

 

Chartchai was a security officer with ISS Security Services and manning the factory’s gate with other officers from the same company.

 

Police are hunting for Sakkarin Roonrod, 40, who allegedly stabbed Chartchai.

 

Policce said Sakkarin fled the scene on a motorcycle with a colleague, Phairoj Phosawang, who did not take part in the murder.

 

Another security officer, Khambao Chinparp, told police that when he came to relieve Chartchai Sunday night, he found the three drinking together inside the booth.

 

Khambao said he assumed his duties at the gate and saw Chartchai and Sakkarin clutching each other. Sakkarin later told him to call the security firm’s supervisor to take Chartchai to hospital and Sakkarin abruptly left on a motorcycle with Phairoj.

Even the title had a typo (security office stabbed). Usual stuff, the title, the article, the crime.

This would be laughable it it wasn’t so tragic - people who are paid to protect, can’t even protect themselves from each other. Life sure seems cheap sometimes.
