Sausages

Featured Replies

Quick question.

Are you allowed to take English pork sausages to Thailand in your luggage?

Friend has asked me to bring some.

Thanks

Iain

Not sure about the legal position but i have arrived here with Sausage,Bacon,Cheese, and would you believe KIPPERS :o

Strewth, last time I came back from home,I had approx 3 Kgs of beef and 4 kgs of cheese.... :o

according to rules no, especially the raw meat. Pack them in the vacum bag and spread those bags within the luggage. Try rather to get cooked/smoked/dried sausage

Yep ^^^

The rules say 'no', the practicality says 'no plobrem' :o

BTW What is it with us Brits and sausages? There are dozens (well lots at least) of threads about importing food items, 90% of them ask about sausages :D

We make our own, better than anything you can buy in the shops (except maybe those fancy 'premium' sausages that I could never afford from the specialists), no import restrictions and a fun activity with the wifey :D

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I used to "import" many food items in my travelling days and if apprehended the magic words were "for personal consumption" never a problem
