May 26, 200421 yr Nationality: Australian Hi, as posted in another thread I am looking for work in Thailand in the IT sector. If however I can not find work for a Thai company I am considering continuing doing remote admin work for several businesses here in Australia that I already have contracts with. My question is, if I am being paid by an Australian company into an Australian bank account under an Australian contract do I still need to get a work permit for Thailand or do I just need a Category ?? non-imigrant visa? I can't see how I can get a Category B visa as Iwill not have a sposoring company in this scenario. I am not sure how long I am going to be in Thailand as I am primarily moving there to be with my Australian partner who is currently teaching on a one year contract. At the very least however I am going to be there for several months as I am looking to arrive in late October '04 and her contract does not run until April '05. Apologies if this has been answered before in another thread. ;-) Cheers and thanks for the advice.
