rooster59
Some provinces to experience severe drought Jettana Pantana KHON KAEN, 15 March 2019 (NNT) - The Governor of Khon Kaen has affirmed that, despite the early drought, the province will have enough water for public consumption. Ubol Ratana Dam in the province currently contains 657 million cubic meters of water, 27% of its maximum capacity. However, only 4% or 76 million cubic meters is usable with 1.2 million released each day for consumption. Governor Somsak Jungtrakul affirmed that there is certainly enough groundwater, however asking the public to be frugal in its use of water and to refrain from off-season rice planting. Meanwhile, the Provincial Waterworks Authority stated that many responsible areas lacked water for tap water, especially Kaset Wisai service unit in Roi Et, which has suffered drought since the end of last year due to low water levels in the Siew Yai River, an important source for the production of tap water. The unit has therefore adjusted its water servicing to 2 periods, which are from 5.00am to - 9.00am and 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The province of Yala is also expected to suffer from severe drought in April due to decreasing water levels in the Pattani River. Durian and lime farmers in Huai Krathing Subdistrict in Krong Pinang District are digging pools to store as much water as possible. -- © Copyright nnt 2019-03-

Our esteemed leader has already said categorically there will be no drought this year. Not sure yet if he will counter the news by praying for rain - as he's done before, or writing a song about it - allowing the population's tears of joy to replenish the reservoirs. 3 1

xtrnuno41
. The lake is enormous, but low on water. Guess too much water goes into the powerdam, due to more power consumption. Also the change of climate bring it down way more fast then usual. You can keep on sleeping, but at one point you are having real problems. maybe make big islands floating on the water with on top sunpower panels. You have a cover to slow down evaporation and sun powered electricity adding on the powerdam supply. Then powerdam can use less water and level is raising up again. But ok im just a simple soul.
