You are not the only one believing this, but the other day I read in another topic that tourism contributes a mere 5% to Thailand’s GNP, and that was quoting from official statistics. correct Posted May 27, 2007 Share Posted May 27, 2007 5% in financial terms, you are still talking millions and millions of $ that the Thai economy could ill afford to lose, and it is also the number of jobs that the tourist industry provides, which makes tourism very important to Thailand.
