WORKPERMIT AND COSTS

Hi Guys,

 

I am a complete novis in this area and I am asking for a friend of mine. He shall start a company (2 miljon baht) with wifey having 51% of the shares. He wishes to seek workpermit and he did ask me what;

a - Where do he apply for a work-permit???

b - What is the cost for a work-permit???

 

I am very grateful for your input.

He could probably get good advice from a solicitor.

a. At the Department of Employment office in the province where he is living. Lots of info here in Thai on their website. https://www.doe.go.th/prd/

b. The fee is 3000 baht for a one year work permit plus a 100 baht filing fee.

FYI if married to a Thai only 1 million baht of registered capital is required.
