How many in country extensions allowed ?

Recommended Posts

Hi

 question...

I did a visa run from Chiang Mai to Mae Sal on January 21st

Recvd 30 days.

Expired Feb 19

Extended on Feb 17

Recvd 30 days.

Expired March 18

Did a visa run on

March 16

Recvd 30 days

Will expire on

April 14

My question is :

Prior to April 14th

can I apply for another 30 day extension here in Chiang Mai?

(i realize this would be the last one )

But Im not sure how many in country extensions are allowed in one calender year.

Thanks

There is no limit on the number of 30 days extensions you can apply for.

You have already used both your visa exempt entries at a land border crossings this year.

Hi ubonjoe

Yes I know the border run is over . 2 per year

Just need one more 30 day extension. So you're  saying that is allowed?

you could apply but it would be refused and 7 days given to leave the country, generally only 1 extension is allowed each ve entry.

You need to read the OP again. He has not gotten an extension of his most recent entry.

I recently (last week) had a mate extend two land entry exempts entries back to back. He flew to HCMC and got an SETV. He, unfortunately, flew back into Suvarnabhum and was denied entry and deported back to Australia.

that's unrelated to the OP's situation.
