April 2, 20197 yr I was able to make a regular postpaid contract with AIS at Central Airport in Chiang Mai using my passport with a tourist visa. The last time when i asked in BKK about this, a few years ago, they said i can only get their postpaid services if i pay a year in advance if i don't have a work permit. Maybe this information is helpful for somebody

April 2, 20197 yr Author No deposit required, just the 650 THB entry fee (fibre contract, not mobile), which every Thai has to pay as well.
