No, restrictions only apply to 30 day entry without visa.

You will have to leave when your extension expires, but you can do 3 consecutive 30 day entries without visa. Then you will have to get a visa or not enter for 180 days

I'm getting more and more confused with all this visa yes, visa no, talk. I've got a triple entry tourist expiring in May. Up to this point I thought that my usual trip down to Penang was history, and that I had to leave the country for no less than 90 days. Now am I to believe that I can continue to pop down to Penang for my triple just as before? My old head is going through the spin cycle on a washing machine.

There has been no restrictions placed on visa entry. If you can obtain the visa you will be allowed to enter unless you are very suspect for some other reason. But you are not going to obtain more than a single entry visa at Penang (or most other places in the area).

Lopburi3, Thanks for that. Is there anywhere further afield were you can get a triple, or has that been knocked on the head too?

A friemd just went back to Oz after using two back-to-back t.v.'s from Vientiane, and they gave him a triple-entry tourist visa in Brisbane.
