Hi everyone, I have recently been issued a non-b visa for business and a work permit.

The legal company that assisted has advised that I can now either extend the non-b visa for a year or leave Thailand every three months to obtain a new non-b visa from overseas embassies in Laos, Malaysia, Cambodia etc etc

What are people's experience with the different options? Ease of use, cost etc etc

What documents would need to be prepared for each three monthly trip for the non-b visa? Is it possible to do this without assistance from the legal company?

What's the approximate price from different companies to do the paperwork for the one-year extension for a non-b visa?

Thanks

I think you need to be on minimum salary of 50,000 bht (show tax receipts for tax paid on 50,000bht) to go 1 year extension route

I believe you don’t go and get a new non b every 3 months ,you have a multi entry non b which you need to just go and cross border every 3 months and you get a new 3 month stamp .

if you are using a legal/visa company for all this they should be telling you all this.

i am going to be starting the process in the next month so have been reading up a bit.

the way I have read it is you get a 3 month non b ,then work permit, once you got work permit you then go immigration and get the visa sorted so it lasts same length of time as work permit, for the first year if it’s your first work permit you cannot show the 50,000 bht wage a month so you get multi entry non b and go to the border every 3 months ,when you are coming to end of first year you can then go and get 1 year extension
