In 2006 I purchased a mattress.
On the corner of which it states in bold print, in English, 15 years guarantee.
It does state or request that this time limit, is subject to any warranty/ guarantee conditions, at the point of sale.

Under the The Consumer Protection Act**1979 does it cover in any way misrepresentations?

Is there a firm of Thai lawyers / solicitors that has a successful record of bringing such prosecutions to court?

And of course you have kept the receipt and a diary of all extra curricular activity to prove that any problem is fair wear and tear!

Interesting points here.

I still have the receipt.
The time period I have had this mattress, which somewhat invalidates the guarantee depending on how long I have owned it?
Fair wear and tear - good point, of which I would accept and be prepared to take into account.
But my claim here is, that there was no proviso of referring to any terms and conditions that they may wish to fall back on.
Finally in making inquiries today, regarding the same manufacturer, the sales and administration staff of this major retail store, had no idea of what terms their guarantees might be under.

I think I would just put the whole thing to bed and sleep on it!

????

Might have been helpful if you disclosed in your OP what exactly the problem is that you want covered by the guarantee?

Buyer's remorse

My old boss used to tell me a guarantee is useless. It is only any good if the product/item breaks and we don't want it to break.

Not on that bed, obviously

There is no warranty on the cover. Only on factory defects of the spring system and also is a time use deduction.   13 years  in on a 15 year Limited warranty.  I will say don't waste your time.

My mattress has been on my bed for 13 years and is still going strong, that's probably

because neither me or my wife are overweight. ????

Oops!  I misread your statement, I thought you wrote 'Sounds as though you are a basket case sir'.

I think I was wrong.
