Tutsi, you are right about the Brits and garlic, there is a very funny Peter Kay sketch describing his dad's reaction to garlic bread. 'Bread and garlic? garlic bread? What? bread AND garlic........'

I once had reason to buy some garlic in scotland, the woman in the greengrocer's face was a picture. Och nae, we've never had call for that roond here'. I ended up getting some very old (out of date), dusty and dry garlic salt/powder from the coop
