PHUKET: Sirinath National Park Chief Vitoon Dechpramualpol responded to online complaints over polluted, stinky canal running through Nai Yang area and threatening to empty into the sea.

Patong police, taxi drivers meet to discuss service, behaviour

PHUKET: Patong Police and officials from relevant government offices held their first meeting with taxi drivers to talk about drivers’ behaviour and find ways to improve service quality in order to “make tourists more impressed”.

Rapper Kodak Black arrested in New York on drug, weapons charges

(Reuters) - Rapper Kodak Black was released from custody by the New York State Police on Thursday after being arrested on drug and gun charges while coming across the Canada-U.S. border near Niagara Falls, police said.

KABUL (Reuters) - Gunmen attacked the communications ministry in the centre of Kabul on Saturday, interrupting months of relative calm in the Afghan capital and underlining security threats that have continued despite efforts to open peace talks with the Taliban.

LONDONDERRY (Reuters) - Two men have been arrested in Northern Ireland over the killing of a journalist during a riot, police said, with politicians calling for calm after the shooting added to concerns about the stability of the region's 21-year-old peace deal.

MUMBAI (Reuters) - The chief justice of India's Supreme Court, Ranjan Gogoi, on Saturday denied allegations that he made unwanted sexual advances towards a junior court assistant who worked in an office at his home and that she was subsequently victimised.

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Gunmen shot dead 13 people at a bar in the city of Minatitlan in the Mexican Gulf coast state of Veracruz, authorities said on Friday, in one of the worst slayings to hit Mexico since President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador took office.
