April 26, 20197 yr I have only been to the Terminal 21 food court and found it good, both for value and quality. How does Siam Paragon and Emporium compare? Any others worth noting? Ones with vegetarian offerings would be ideal.
April 26, 20197 yr Terminal 21 is OK but the last year is very crowded. Gateway, MBK, Tesco Lotus Onnut and Mega Bangna for myself are not too bad. Don't like the food offerings at Emporium. At Paragon may as well eat in a restaurant, the prices are almost the same.
April 26, 20197 yr Terminal 21 was much better 5 years ago. They have made the portions smaller and some items are not offered anymore like my favorite fish soup. Very traumatic. But it is always very busy so somebody is OK with it. Sorry can't speak for other malls.

April 26, 20197 yr Take a trip to Iconsiam. It may be a high end shopping mall for the rich, but the food is priced for normal people. The selection of food and presentation is the best you will find in Thailand. We loved it. My wife eat so much she was ill in the evening !
April 26, 20197 yr Siam Discovery next to Paragon has an excellent food court with a lot of international options; Indian, Japanese, Vietnamese, ect. I always found excellent food in the Amarin Plaza food court, 4th floor, off the walkway between Chit Lom and Siam BTS stations. My last time there, it seemed there were fewer stalls but the food was still good and very reasonably priced. Gateway Mall, Ekkamai has a decent food court but way up on the 5th floor. Never crowded though, unlike the ones at Lotus and Big-C. Is the small food court below Robinson's on Sukhumvit still operating? They used to have some good selections. April 26, 20197 yr T21 is very cheap-often even cheaper as streetstalls but has bad food-poorly made in mass quantity by mostly burmese. Overflooded with mainland chinese ''quality'' tourists. All Thai supermarket and dept.store chains have a foodcourt, as usual in this world: the higher the assumed status of the chain, the higher the price. Thus Mall/Paragon and Centran are about double price for same-same as T21. Quality tends also to be better-wheather its also 2x as good-try out yourself. For the average whitey food is so cheap, that would hardly matter. But if you think T21 is quite OK-then you may even note its way better there. Took lae dee (good&cheap-a common Thai expression) is tied to Foodland supermarkets. Icon has a kind of quite hidden foodcourt-you wont even notice it first hand-its in the various floating market type stalls on ground/1st fl. Pricing about same as centran/paragon. They probably still have to find out what type/pricing/customers they will get. With BigC and tescoLotus its 50/50; some are deserted and hardly seem to see a soul, others are very populair and always busy (Onnut-tesco), BigC has recently lowered many prices to attract more. They also often do promosyens-like you get 120 on your 100 bt card.

April 27, 20197 yr T21 is good. I think they try to keep prices down so some portions have decreased and the crispy pork is sliced so thin it is transparent. The som tam is cheaper than on the street across from my hotel and is good but not quite as good. They don't pok pok much. Usually very busy. A hip and very nice Chinese couple saw what I was eating and asked me where to get it. But they didn't know they needed to specify the heat and didn't know how to do it anyway. They said "so spicy". There is a Thai restaurant in Ploenchit Center that has rock bottom prices but the meat is the parts not normally served. The food court caters to Thai office workers and i like it. Good prices and i like eating with the TOW.

Have you eaten there? Doesn't sound like it. Not minced meat. And I believe it is "floats your boat" but whatever rocks your boat. IMHO

I grew up on that stuff and have it in soups here. Offal is a good addition to a regular diet but most westerners to scared to even try it although the Brits do fried liver with mash yum!
