Has Anyone Flown Easyjet To Ams Then On To Bkk Nonstop ?

Featured Replies

No UK consolidator will offer this package. Does anyone know of a Dutch or German consolidator offering AMS-BKK? AMS is the only European hub which covers Bkk direct AND the budget airlines.

Try dutch website of China Airlines: http://www.china-airlines.nl/

They now offer AMS/BKK direct at Euro 645 (abt 440 pounds sterling) all included.

Cheers

You dont say which regional airport you wish to depart from but I just did a search on airline-network for Bristol to BKK and they quote a fare via AMS on KLM & CI of £513 all in(price varies depending on dates) No budget airline involved.

Edit // having seen you are in Cambridge, I just checked Norwich to BKK on test dates (out 23/05/07 and back 14/08/07) they quote an all in price of £517 again KLM & CI

For a 3-month ticket they want €843. Once Easyjet from Stansted is factored-in the only advantage is time saved on the bus to Heathrow, around 2.5 - 3 hours from Cambridge.

Unfortunately the connection requires 5.5 and 8-hour layovers. The airlines from Heathrow have the market pretty much sewn up!

Thanks for the link.

Thanks for the suggestion. I get £597 on CI for those dates. Train takes 70 minutes Cambridge-Norwich; good if one can get a lift by car. Not cheap, but worth considering if one wants to avoid the 3-hour slog to Heathrow.

For a 2-week mid-week (Wed-Wed) itinerary in May, Yahoo.com offers $1270USD (about 650 quid) for NWI-AMS-BKK on KLM, all taxes included.

Same thing on Yahoo.co.uk, as low as 582quid, all taxes included.

If your time is worth more than 15 quid an hour and you can get from Cambridge to Norwich easily, then it may be a pretty good deal for you.

About the same or maybe a little less ... 862euro all taxes included on the same itinerary.

The China Airlines flight from Schipol to Bangkok has connecting flights from many UK regional airports. Try www.kayak.co.uk

KLM never ever offers cheap price AMS-BKK, this comes from NL where I am now back

Both EVA air and China air do nonstops AMS-BKK, EVA 4/week and CI daily.

the best very well known local agents for them are

www.333travel.nl and www.bmair.nl, 333 for EVA and BMA (=BKk manila air) for CI. Both are at most dates a lot cheaper as the oficial websites, this is even policy stated from EVA and CI. Simply calling them is likely the best way, they will find some enlgish speaker.

IF you mainly want the cheapest, its most likely the best deal to book GERMAN airagencies from MUC and add airberlin.com or whatever flies (chekc whichbudget.com) from LST. THAI offers nonstops in the low season for 499 EUR/all in ex MUC

OR www.ltu.de ex DUS and then airberlin ex LST

I bought BKK-AMS roundtrip CI for $900 US all in
