4675636b596f75 Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Many of you may not know that AppleCare provides for on-site support. It provides for on-site repair. In the United States, or England someone will come to you once Apple ships the items to be replaced, and they will show up within 1 to 2 days. Repair will be affected in less than an hour. Do the vendors who do the repair for Apple, hold your computer hostage until paid by Apple? It is almost impossible to find someone who will do the repair in your condo but this is exactly how it's done in any other country. The logic board or in normal vernacular the motherboard and any other part that's needed will be shipped to the repair facility, normally overnight. Yet the people doing the repair will brave the Bangkok traffic and spend two hours getting to my condo to take my computer and they have told Apple that they will need one to two weeks. If they came to my condo and made the repair than they would be finished and would only have two trips one coming and one going and they would be paid for their time. But they want to take it and then hold it for 1 to 2 weeks, and then brave the Bangkok traffic again to bring it back to me. This makes no sense. Unless… Perhaps there's another reason why they want to brave the traffic and take one to two weeks. Could it be that there waiting to get paid by Apple? I've heard stories that people up in Chang Mai have been told specifically that the repair facility won't give them back there MacBook until Apple pays them. That's not very good PR. It makes sense that they would waste all this time and hold my computer because they're waiting to get paid. Comments?

tlandtday Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 apple is overpriced and since they went to intel chips and windows improved their software i don't see the benefits in paying double for what you can get in a windows brand name...
