April 29, 20197 yr Hi, I hope this is the right section for this question. My children are half Thai and are aged 21 and 23, currently living in the UK. My wife admits that we should have done this years ago but as we only went to Thailand for holidays it never seemed necessary. We were thinking about registering their births at the Thai Embassy in London but we are not sure if this too late as they are adults now. Is it possible for them to get Thai passports? I appreciate any knowledge you can pass on to me. many thanks, Sean
April 29, 20197 yr There is no age limit for registering their birth to get a Thai birth certificate. After registering their birth the would need to be registered in a house book to get a Thai ID card and passport here. Info is here on the emgssy website. http://www.thaiembassy.org/london/en/services/82037-Birth-&-Death-Registration.html In Thai it is here: http://www.thaiembassy.org/london/th/services/82031-ทะเบียนราษฎร์.html
April 29, 20197 yr Nobody is "half" anything,in terms of citizenship. They either have it, or they don't. Some people are dual citizens.
April 29, 20197 yr Author Sorry for miss saying something, they have one Thai parent and one British parent. As far as I was aware the term half Thai was something people would understand. But thanks for your help.
