Pig farmers in Chonburi have claimed that "pig vomit" (uak moo) stones they found in their animals are worth 19 million baht to Chinese doctors.

The furry lumps were found in the gall bladders of pigs in Narerk sub-district of Phanat Nikhom - the claims caused a stir of humor on Thai social media.

The lumps are actually gallstones and could be very rare.

Bovine gallstones from cows are listed in 2,000 year old Chinese medicine manuals.

They can be worth more than their weight in gold as they cannot be manufactured and usually occur in cows aged 10 years plus.

But, said Dr Thammathat Chiawphromkhun of Hua Chiaw Chelerm Prakiat's dept of Chinese medicine, no one seems to have heard of "pig vomit".

Villagers are claiming that it could be the answer to all kinds of ailments from seizures to muscle spasms, swellings and hot flushes.

Dr Thammathat cautioned that studies would need to be done to determine if the lumps have any medicinal properties and are valued at 19 million baht, as has been  claimed.

what about human versions - surely if a cow or pig stone or vomit is worth millions then the human equivalent must be very special indeed

While they're at it, they should study the "medical properties" of eating tiger penises or organs from other edangered species.

Weed is 100% herbal and does cure most of the ailments mentioned in the OP. No need to take organs from animals.

Tell these morons: your body needs iron and they start cutting their bicycles in eatable nibbles.

haha, ignorance... most old farts that ate too much red meat will end up with too much iron in the blood and a nice cause of heart attacks & diabetes.... women don't have that problem till they start menopause and don't bleed out the excess iron every month and catch up later in life in heart attack rates
