SYDNEY (Reuters) - Police arrested 13 people on Tuesday after they scaled the Sydney Harbour Bridge to demand Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison take emergency action to address climate change.

DBD in cooperation with Grab Food to promote "Thai SELECT" foodshops

BANGKOK, 14 MAY 2019 (NNT) – The Department of Business Development of the Ministry of Commerce is promoting online business by opening a Thai Select foodshop project in cooperation with Grab Thailand for delivery. A cooperation agreement has been signed under the project to publicize Thai SELECT foodshops and a variety of reliable franchised foodshops and provide access to new consumers.

EGAT to purchase 200,000 tons more crude palm oil for electricity generation

BANGKOK, 14 MAY 2019 (NNT) – On the attempt to solve low palm pricing, which is currently priced at 2-2.40 baht per kilogram which is below farmer’s cost, the Ministry of Commerce is planned to further reduce the quantity of excess palm oil in stock according to the Cabinet’s resolution by approving the purchase of additional 200,000 tons of crude palm oil for electricity generation in addition to 160,000 tons previously utilized at a price higher than market average to help bring up palm fruit purchasing price to 3 baht per kilogram.

BEIJING/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - China and the United States both have the "ability and wisdom" to reach a trade deal that is good for both, the Chinese government's top diplomat said, as U.S. President Donald Trump said he thought recent talks in Beijing would be successful.

Yonladee gets Thai passport, pledges to aim him in Genius Olympiad

Cabinet approves mandatory health insurance for long-stay visas

PHUKET: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that Cabinet has approved mandatory health insurance as a new requirement for all foreigners staying in the country on one-year Non-Immigrant O-A “visas”, or “permits-to-stay”.

Health Ministry to train 10 million Thais to save people experiencing heart attacks
