Capealava
I would like to change to my immigrant 0 marriage extension to a retirement extension at end of my current marriage extension. Is this fairly straight forward or will I be jumping through hoops. I have come into some money and retirement extension are so much easier. Thanks for any info on this. I am assuming I will not need to provide proof of medical insurance since this is an extension and not a application for immigrant 0-A visa.
ubonjoe
It should not be a problem to change the reason for your extension of stay from marriage to retirement. I assume you aware that the 800k baht has be in the bank for 3 months after you apply and then 400k baht until you top it up for the next extension. At this time is no requirement for insurance to apply for the extension.
Moonlover
I'm planning to do the same soon, but I'm not going to tie up the whole 800k. I'll declare just enough to satisfy the combination method. That way I won't need to 'ring fence' so much of my own money to meet their silly new rule.

jacko45k
Pattaya is usually easy to deal with wrt retirement extensions. Seasoned 800k baht for 2 months required. No medical insurance. Edited June 15, 2019 by jacko45k
