The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) recently shared a picture of a wild elephant trying to make way for traffic on the edge of the Highway No 2090’s 48th kilometre marker.

The photograph, which showed the pachyderm balancing on the edge of the road with his head pulled in so much that it created jowls, was published last Friday in the DNP Public Relations Department’s Facebook page. Accompanying the photo was a caption saying the elephant had been safely guided away from the road by a DNP fast-action team.

Highway 2090 is a Trunk Road and the tuskers should have right of way at all times.

I'm 299 % with you, but please explain that to Mr. Pinocchio and his gang!

Looks to me like it's scratching its butt.

You'd make a good detective. Judging by the amount of dead leaves on its back and on the road in front of him, he is very likely doing just that against a large tree.????.
