He was a teacher before and hopes to resume work as a teacher in Thailand. He holds teaching certificates has a degree and is not an undesirable. The concern is what rules now apply to his situation, he is returning on a Non Immigrant Multi Entry Visa on arrival 1) Married to Thai 2) Seeking Teaching work, but maybe will not find immediately as seeking work in rural Thailand Does the 400,000 thb rule come into play or?????? The 400K in the bank is no longer an option, they must show a combined family income of 40K a month to qualify for the one year visa extension based on marriage. Normally I would recommend a Non Imm O single entry visa, but the multi will give him time to find work without having to bother immigration. He will just need to do a visa run every 3 months. The O available for that will be tied to his work permit and is not the same as the marriage/support visa. Many of the schools in Khon Kaen pay more than 25k. Several recent ads on the 'other' site.
