What Is A Troll?

I thought I understood this but I see so many replies to what appear to me to be legit posts saying "Troll". So can you define what trolling is for me? Is this post a troll?

A troll posts deliberately inciteful or inflammatory nonsense, often made up stories, in order to goad people into a response.

The dippy kid in the back of the class making fart noises while the teacher's back is turned is a good example.

In Internet terminology, a troll is a person who enters an established community such as an online discussion forum and intentionally tries to cause disruption, often in the form of posting messages that are inflammatory, insulting, incorrect, inaccurate, absurd, or off-topic, with the intent of provoking a reaction from others. Well there's Trolls then there's Troll's. Some people seem to turn this into an artform where they get a major thread running generally based on a made up story or daft opinions. A couple of examples IMNSHO -

Attacked with a Cleaver

Both by the same poster who puts a bit of intelligence into his work.

At the other end of the intelligence scale we have the straightforward Troll.
