Embracing Loser Economics seems to be a forte of Uber Hard Brexiteers. That and celebrating it. Now which Tory Candidate are they batting for? Or are they still hoping for a UKIP resurrection for their Nationalist fantasies. Meanwhile Sterling firmly below the 40 mark. Epitaph for No-deal failure.

When GBPTHB dropped below 50/1 there was great upset and the usual 'sterling will soon bounce back' mantras. Now, 20% down later, they don't even bother. So the question is whether any of the candidates have a clue where they are.

So Jeremy Hunt seems to be thinking of himself rather than listening to the wishes of his constituents and the people of the UK.

He will not be missed after the next general election.

As are all the PM contenders. Thank god we have a parliament that thinks different.

Maybe this is the brexit dividend they used to bang on about . Now it’s all about damage limitation

There’s such an irony in this forum that the undeniably right wing majority are living as immigrants in a foreign land

So what.....I personally should have been retired on the Isle of Wight, not here, but my thoughts would still be the same in either place...

Many people did indeed think it would bounce back. Unfortunately they did not take into account that some remainers would try,and successfully undermine the U.K interest, and that of course includes T.May.

What we do not know, is how the markets would have responded if the country had got behind, and supported a Brexiteers P.M.

Unelected? So what were EU elections for! As an EU member the UK is a part of any rules being enforced on the UK, therefore the UK is telling itself what to do. Surrender sovereignty? Every EU country IS sovereign. Any other untrue Brexit rubbish you want to spout? Try the one about accounts not being signed off!

what about the rule of "free movement"for one where anyone in the eu can go to another eu country and work [or ponce]? this is the reason the less affluent communities voted for brexit,an example could be a family living in over crowded housing conditions for years watching a council house go to a large family just arrived from the eu who have more "points" on the housing allocation.

The problem with many retainers, at least those that are British, is that they can only attack the person, not their political beliefs.

Only the economically illiterate would suggest that the markets would support a Hard Brexit crash and burn candidate. Quite the opposite. Sterling has gone down in anticipation of Boris winning since he announced standing.

Snarling old Brexiteers probably quite grateful for Boris's cuddly image.

No, its a fact .

Many British people lost out on Council houses , because an Eastern European family had more kids and needed the property more , well, they were a higher priority

in boris's own words mays deal only needed fine tuning,he said it in a live TV interview, imo the bloke is a clown, remember if he is elected he will have to sort out brexit before haloween or possibly xmas and mays deal with a suitable adjustment for the DUP is all he could possibly come up with or he to will be removed, then it would be a remainer and the only possible outcome at that point would be A50 dusty binned

EU european migrants do not get priority for council housing, asylum seekers do because we decide they do,EU have no say in this policy, its a policy made in Great Britain, our EU friends have more sense, this is why they paddle the channel, they are not doing it to keep fit.

What do you mean by "end up with," I thought that is what you have now.
