30 day entry

Featured Replies

Not sure if there are any changes recently. I've just done a 30 day return entry by air after having a WP for a year. I just extended that for another 30 days.

I'm about to start a new job, so I'll need to fly in and out again for another 30 day entry to KL. Could I have any problems doing two in a row and do I need to show $ or a flight out of Thailand? Cheers.

Hard to say. Airport immigration has discretion to deny you entry, and back-to-back visa exempt entries, combined with your previous work permit, might make them suspect illegal working. Since you have not spent much time in Thailand recently on tourist entries, I suspect most officials would let you in. Getting a tourist visa in Kuala Lumpur before returning would be safer. The airline bringing you to Thailand (is it to Don Muang?) can insist that you have an onward flight out of Thailand within 30 days when you have no visa. Immigration probably will not ask for one for an onward flight.

Check what you need to get a non-B in KL since you are starting a new job. Much easier to extend once you have your job in place.

IMO the airline will want to see onward flight. Also passport control at airport (esp DM) would be hit or miss. If you haven't used your border entries I would for example.... fly to udon cross at nong khai border and return.
