SATTAHIP:-- Four people including a pregnant woman were hurt in a four-vehicle pileup in Sattahip.

Panthip Intaprom, 40 years old and eight months pregnant, suffered grotesquely broken legs after her motorbike was struck by a Honda City in front of Tung Thong Barbecue at the Taotan intersection. Her husband, Songkarn Prajantasean, 34, suffered a cut to the face.

Inside the Honda, paramedics found a male driver, around age 30, and passenger Wipa Kumdee, 21, unconscious. All were transported to Queen Sirikit Naval Medical Center.

Also damaged in the crash were two parked Toyotas, one of them belonging to Tung Thong Barbecue owner Janram Wanchai.

You don't do that much damage at 50km/h. Lots of speed I reckon, no doubt the two parked Toyotas didn't fare too well either.

I hope Panthip makes it through this horror story with a safe delivery of her baby.

Jeez the bike is unrecognizable .. and the damage to the car is heavy .. Damage like that does not come from driving at safe speeds ..

I am really worried about my trip to Pattaya or anywhere else in Thailand in 2 weeks time

well I can always stay in the hotel 24 hours a day

Another driver with no skills and not pay attention to the traffic probably high on drugs or alcohol

I hope the lady and baby recover well and the driver pay for her hospital bills

Speed kills.  When will Plod realise it and get off their fat bottoms and chase these duckheads down?
