Farang Friendly Banks

Featured Replies

I need to open up a business banking account near to Huay Kaew road, where the staff can speak english and where i know my money will be totally safe, can anyone recommend one please?

I have accounts with several banks and find the Siam Commercial to be by far the most efficient and most helpful. (My main SCB Account is at the big branch on Thapae Road though.)

You could try the Siam Commercial or the Bangkok Bank at Kad Suan Kaew. Both have helped me in the past and I am sure they speak English because I have heard Non Thai speakers in there.

For what it is worth I have had good experiences with Kasikornbank and Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn seem to have really improved over the last couple of years. I have banked with Kasikorn for a little more than 7 years and generally they have been good, the occasional SNAFU but nothing more than one would expect with any financial institution.

Both offer internet banking so some of your branch staff issues may be negated by getting that set up.

I second Siam Commercial especially the Thapae Road brANCH. I have had an account there for 5 years and never had any cause for complaint. You could always open an account there and do your daily banking at another branch.

I should have stated that I am talking about the Moon Muang branch of Kasikornbank for the most part of my experience with them - excuse me!
