  • Yes, you are correct. I am using the common and easy-to-say terminology and I believe I am understood which is the purpose of language. Your attention to detail is to be appreciated.

Yes, visa extension is the most commonly used terminology on here, definitely. I'd recommend using the ignore button for certain posters on this forum, it makes visiting a lot more pleasant.

Ditto: the website is called Thaivisa, the Forum is headed Visa Information, and even the Extension of Stay stamp from Immigration is headed "Visas"!

Where does it say visa on a extension stamp.

Not on any of mine. Copy of one of mine.

The top of the passport page says VISAS but that means nothing since a passport can have many stamps (enry, departure and etc) in it that are certainly not visas.

That pretty much confirms that they want to drive expats toward agents.

Some expats.

The ones who still can obtain a Letter of Income don't need any money in a Thai bank account;

an agent is thus useless.

But a L.o.I cannot be accepted anymore tomorrow, or later.

In fact every rule can be changed tomorrow, or later.

what will happen come next year and you do your extension and the 1 year print out of ur bank book does NOT show u kept 800,000 in the bank for 3months after you got your extension?
or if you dipped below 400,000 at any time for the remainder of the year?

Probably it would be resolved by an agent, but maybe at a different price.

Once one used an agent it is likely for every coming year;

or than starting the extension over.

Rubbish, mine doesn't.

Your last is your latest--the one expiring in 2019.

My last and my latest visa is the non-OA one that expired in 2009. It's the one I've always referred to when completing the TM8 form for a re-entry permit ("My previous visa for Thailand is in the category of.." + the Non-Immigrant Visa box checked), for example - and Immigration have never questioned me doing this.
