Not so; the difference is that the army deals in the big stuff - gems, logging, defence contracts, gathered country-wide, internationally and opaquely, the latter in pennies, gathered piecemeal and predatorily from the populace, and hence less easily hidden. Both are a cancer on the civil contract.

Did you notice the bit that said "police, military officers".

 

Once again the military are tasked with ensuring the police do their job. Whether its financial or fear, they haven't got to grips with the taxi boys.

I am very confused apparently a democratic election was held earlier this year and the New Democratic PM installed so why are there still military soldiers on the streets of Thailand surely after the election they should have returned to barracks , am I missing something.

Thank goodness the Toad took the few brief moments he was awake to issue instructions to the RTP to do their jobs. Outstanding, I'm feeling safer now.
