Assuming a call was made and plod did turn up is easy enough, but how can any credibility be given to something allegedly recorded through 6" of brickwork containing the voice of someone who mumbles to the point of barely being understood even when in a studio surrounded by mics and cameras...?

Just tried that. Dialled 999 to report and just some woman telling me in Thai the number was not recognised. Do you think they’ll still come for my report?

Actually a poll just in suggests that Boris has lost a lot of support over this, a) among all voters with whom he was already unpopular b) among Tory party supporters, and c) even as far as Tory Members are concerned. Of course these are well out of the political mainstream. The following amusing article explains the nature of the TP membership well.
