Another quality Pattaya tourist: Butt naked in the middle of the street

Police were called to Pratumnak Hill in Pattaya last night after reports that a Western tourist was standing naked in the middle of an intersection.

 

Nobody knew who he was and not surprisingly he had no ID on him. 

 

A combination of the local cops, motorcycle taxi guy and even a man in a turban tried to save the man's modesty as tourists in song thaews passed and an interested crowd gathered. 

 

Some trousers were rejected as was a towel, but the tourist was eventually persuaded to wrap a towel around himself before he was taken into the police station and then to a hospital for a check of his mental state. 

 

He was described as 2 meters tall, white and thin. 

 

Pattaya Update News stopped short of giving any other vital statistics.

Perhaps he has ID in the form of tattoos or birthmarks - why no pics of any of those?

The man in the turban: was the turban offered to 'save the man's modesty'?

Only one? with what is going on in Pattaya nowadays, one would be right to expect few more of delirious and stoned out of their heads people to be found in all kind of unsavoury situations...

Very possibly he was shocked and distressed to discover that there was in fact no prostitution in Pattaya?

Probably depressed he didn't bring his entire family to the world class resort!

Alone, unhinged and naked on the streets of Pattaya.   Other than a couple of voyeurs with their cellphones, it is pleasing to see the BIB and other locals treat this fellow with dignity and compassion.

 

I'm sure he received whatever help was needed at hospital.   Best of luck to him.

no they do not take off turbans except when at home....he is an indian and they wear these for religous reasons... I THINK....

Looks like he was out of it in more ways than one.

That's correct. In the UK some say they wear them to religiously avoid wearing a crash helmet.
