An Australian known as “King Kong”, who has previously been arrested for dealing ice and cannabis, has been found dead in a Cambodian street.

Alan Rolf Jensen, 54, from Melbourne was found dead on Sunday morning on a street in Khan Daun Penh, a popular tourist bar and restaurant strip in the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh. Jensen was a regular visitor to Cambodia and had been staying nearby at the Walkabout Hotel. Jensen was arrested in 2013 on drug-trafficking charges.

Cambodian Police reported that the Australian was known to his associates as “King Kong” and accused him of selling drugs along Phnom Penh’s popular Tonle Sap riverside.

If he was staying at the walkabout, he wasn't a big spender. OK place but on the budget side.

The Walkabout closed around 3 years ago. Very poor journalism here.

Back in the day The Walkabout was regularly raided for one reason or another.  A real dive but at least some of the clientele were "interesting".

If he was a regular visitor to Cambodia why was he allowed entry?

nobody sells drugs on the riverside, they try to sell fake stuff and nobody is interested. the only crime that happens there is pickpocketing, and they get a pass from police and locals because thats an authentic khmer job
