Hi. I'm in Chiang Mai and taking some product shots for an upcoming catalog. Several items are large, decorative pieces 36" or taller.

Anybody know where in the Chiang Mai area one can purchase, hopefully on the cheap, actual studio backdrops? If they are cheap enough that will do, but otherwise could I be pointed towards alternatives like textured canvas drops I could find somewhere?

And what have you used? I have some bed sheeting and considered dying and tying it loosely for a somewhat mottled background, but thats time consuming and messy. Posterboard could be used but its probably not as professional to appear against an expensive item that should be presented as nice as possible. Think about living rooms, office or studio settings.

I create digital backdrops for portraiture all the time, but these are large products that should look natural placed against various walls of different color and texture, for example.

Your help with where to get supplies or how to construct something useful would be greatly appreciated.
