Moving that way in the next few weeks two questions if I may.

1. Where is immigration in Khon Kaen?

2. Extension by way of marriage I know what's needed just want to know if Khon Kaen immigration allow it to be 45 days before or are they a 30 day office

Not helpful as I did that we don't all need to be spoon feed. But I'm informed they have moved and guess what Google isn't aware of that.

 

If I recall correctly they are now located up stairs in bus station number 2. There is a topic about it in the Isaan forum.

I think they go by the 30 days before rule.

Be aware the 30 day report back date on the under consider stamp will start from the end your end of your current permit to stay not the date you apply.

Correction Joe, immigration is now at building number 2, bus station number 3, on the Khonkaen bypass.

Not there anymore they moved to the bus station on the Ring Rd.

They are based in the new buss station off the highway. 2 story building at the front. Go up the  steps to floor 1 and they are there. Well signed  across the floor outside. My experience is the 30 days.

Spelling mistake

For guidance (not knowing your intended address), from the main intersection and traffic lights outside Central Plaza, head south on route 2 until you see Tesco Lotus on your left (about 3kms). Keep on route 2 and at the second set of traffic lights after Tesco take the right U turn heading back north up route 2. You will clearly see signs pointing left for the new Bus Terminal just before the by-pass over-bridge. Access is also available from the by-pass itself. Immigration is upstairs in Terminal 2, behind Terminal 1 which you approach from route 2. Parking around the Immigration Office can be problematic but if you are prepared for a short walk there is plenty of free parking within the bus station complex. Please note, an escalator installed in Terminal 2 does not give access to Immigration - only stairs, so if you have mobility problems seek assistance.

Marry extention 45 days - I must use it last October in Khon Kaen 

In Non Bua my 30 day consideration period was from the day I applied which was 16 days early

Thanks yes I know the area well and will be coming in from the Udon Thani end via the 230 ring road.

In the area now will go along there tomorrow on way back to BKK and get the word on 30 or 45 direct from the horse's mouth so to speak.

 moved at end of January to the other side of the city, is now located at Bus Terminal 3 on the ring road

Are you aware they now require recent update stamp on your KR2

I believe these offices are temporary whilst new custom offices are being built for them

Thanks - I did not know of the "disabled" button. Yes, this office is temporary and the new Immigration Office will be situated off route 2 in the north of the city - even further north than the original office (no actual details yet)
