Air Asia policy on items strapped to a carry on

Featured Replies

Is Air Asia known to be strict on charging extra for items strapped to a carry on, or do they consider it one unit? In my case I'll strap some roller blades to a backpack.

My experience...  Stay away from the place where you have to check-in bags (And where they can weigh bags). So try to check-in online, and print your boarding passes before going to the airport. Once you are at the gate it is very unlikely that you will get problems. Making problems takes time they don't have at that moment.

I know someone who had only a carry on bag. When going to the check-in counter to check-in and get a boarding pass she had to weigh her carry on bag which was a couple of kg to much. She had to check-in that bag, and pay full price for that. The extra weight was only 2 kg. It would go unnoticed when avoiding that check-in counter and going to the gate directly.

Can I ask if you have ever been to Thailand, Asia??????

where do u plan on roller blading???? Certainly not on the broken sidewalks around here, best reconsider. And you wouldn't dare go on the roads if you value your life.

The old airport in Chiang Rai city is popular

If it still meets size and weight requirements then you're fine, otherwise pay for a hold bag or leave something at home.  Even if someone on here tells you they got away with an out of order bag , there's no guarantee you will too.

May be You need to pay...
