I'm planning on moving abroad to Thailand one month from now but how fast would I be able to get a student/university visa?

I'm in the united states

What is the cheapest possible school I can enroll in?

If there are better alternatives then a student visa let me know would like to live there the next 2 years but one year is fine.

Depends on how long the school needs to get the required documents for you

If you have all documents the embassy / consulate will take a day or maybe a few days to issue you the visa.

You could just get a multiple entry tourist visa, with this you can stay nearly 9 months (making a border hop every 2 or 3 months)

So do you really want to study. Asking because you need to actually attend class.

Perhaps other options better. An METV along with other setv and visa exempt might suit you better

I just came back from Thailand this June I entered twice already on a free tourist visa this year 1st time for 20 days and 2nd for 10 days do you think this will effect me being able to get a visa? I read something that said I'm only allowed to enter Thailand twice per calendar year.

I'd rather not study but I heard it's the easiest and cheapest option is getting a university visa to stay one year without having to leave.

You need to decide where you want to attend classes.

There are two categories of schools. A informal school such as one to learn Thai will on allow extensions of stay for 90 days at a time. A formal school such as a university will allow a one year extension.

You will first need to obtain a non-ed visa from an embassy in consulate that will allow a 90 day entry. They you will need to apply for a extension of stay at immigration.
