Yes, a muslim terrorist suspect was badly interrogated by army and has died in hospital just days before bombings. And that was exactly what those arrested said and was quated in the media already

Former army chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha was elected prime minister thanks to votes in the upper house, the Senate, which was entirely appointed by the military junta Prayuth had led since 2104.

Well that's it then, we are screwed if these morons have been Back to the Future.

Could the Thai media stop reporting on the bomb case until all the facts are presented and a conviction has been handed down. Otherwise that gun totting coup crazy general in charge of army will send in the troops and that's the last thing Thailand wants, we all know he is jealous of Pinocchio and wants to get his snout in the trough as well as his hands on the prime ministership.

It wasn't a bitterly fought election at all, the JUNTA held all the cards and cooked the books and fiddled with numbers from the word go.

Will someone tell the author to please either check his or her facts and then report the truth that we all know and understand. Really..........................

The Truth? We can't handle the truth!

Yet another coup in the pipe-line possibly? The (300th 555) 20th or so in recent history. Something else to be proud of?  Much the same as human plus animal rights violations and much more...

Why foreigners invest here is beyond me. Nothing but extortion, corruption, racism, lawlessness, violence, impolitness etc... are guarenteed.

Good luck if you stay!? You may regret it? I did! That is why I'm  moving on... Gettimg out before the storm. As Thai put it in a negative sense, "UP TO YOU". Yes! UP TO ME!

This little bomb incident sounds very much like a staged event in order to justify some army activity that just may be in the wind. A "precursor" of sorts. Justification for the next step.

They will round up some innocent burmese construction worker or some harmless middle eastern kebab seller, frame them illegally and case closed with smiles for all the golden wings.

If you ask the Thais , "this is an act from the provoking expert" to have a reason to put article 44 in charge again to thighten the power !!!!!????

Last week's attacks in Bangkok could turn out to be a dress rehearsal for something much more serious. Imagine the devastation if high-explosive devices had been planted instead of ping-pong "bombs".

Southern insurgents are the likeliest suspects. The level of violence in the region rose significantly in the run-up to the recent general election - presumably aimed at persuading the Thais electorate to put a civilian government back into power.

Their hopes dashed, rebel leaders may well have resolved to take the fight to the Generals in their own metropolitan backyard - and other major population centres where tourists would be at risk from terror attacks.

With visitor figures in freefall, the last thing Thailand needs is a proliferation of the violence which has claimed some 7,000 lives over the last two decades. Finding a permanent workable solution to the Southern "troubles" must be a major priority of the new administration.
