Thai caption: Levels 5 and 6 closed at Erawan waterfall

The Erawan waterfall in the national park in Kanchanaburi was partially closed Monday after heavy rains made steep stretches of walkways dangerous.

Chief of the Erawan National Park Prayut Waiwong said that several Thai and foreign tourists had suffered injuries so he decided to close levels five and six on Monday.

Repairs were made and the waterfall was expected to be fully open from today.

Prayut said that the area had normal water flow and no landslides and would be open for tourism from Tuesday.

Rickety old wooden steps at best with steps cut into natural features... real easy to slip.
