I know about this law in Thailand but does anyone know if someone living in Thailand defames another in another country, the UK, can that person in the UK, press defamation charges?

I would say yes, as an opinion, but as always its best to consult /ask a legal professional to be certain.

You dont have to be resident or even present to instigate a legal procedure, an appointed lawyer can do that, especially as its the defendants home country. They would need to be present and attend, if a court case followed.

That's what I thought, thanks. Yes, I'll check with a lawyer.

There used to be one here, I wonder what happened? I'll try some of the advertised ones.
