LGBT campaign loses fight in parliament for House panel on gender diversity

How many genders do we need?  When I was a kid, we only had 3 races and two genders of humans.

Maybe we need to do like Darwin and identify different species.  I saw an estimate that there are perhaps 8.7 million species of critters in the world.  But males, females and hermaphrodites aren't counted separately.   So we have room for a few hundred more humanoid genders and races and even species, I guess.

You want to be gay, up to you. You want to dress up as a woman or cut your bits off that's up to you. I just don't you shouting it or waggling it (or not) in my face.

Hey sonny, I used to walk to school five miles each way barefoot in the snow! Those were the days!

How many genders do we need? I don't know. How many t.v. shows do we need to choose from? Is a million enough?

LGBT threads/news are the most entertaining ones as of 2018 and it never seems to get old ????

I know - two.

It's not about need, but about the reality. LGBTWERTY don't live in reality though.

I'm afraid that, once there are people demanding acceptance, this could change.

If there was genuine acceptance and equality of treatment, no one would be demanding anything.

Nothing against any of them.

But the problem is - give them a finger and they chop off your hand.

Be who you want to be, but allowing marriage, adopting kids or changing gender of your 4 year old (this happens in the US) should be not allowed. Changing gender of your kid that hasn't even hit teenage ages should be a crime.

Them? Hmm...

Regarding your claim on a 4 year old changing gender, are you referring to an attempt to stop a bar being placed on changing birth certificate gender terms in Utah?

If so it would have been more honest to post a link to the story and possibly quote the following from the story

“It’s terrifying. It’s the biggest worry, to be outed,” she said. Her daughter is intersex, with anatomy that isn’t solely either gender, she said. A doctor decided the baby was male, but Victory has always identified as a girl, her mother said.”

I actually think Thailand is way more accepting of LGBTQ people than most other countries and have no problems with it, consenting adults should answer to no one. My only concern these days is the way some are pushing young/very young kids into choosing their gender,  while adults can decide on who they want to be I dont think young kids should be encouraged one way or the other. A persons sexuality is their own business, consenting adults should never feel out of place anywhere or with anybody

People aren't pushing that.

not here but in the US it certainly appears to be happening, maybe more encouraging than pushing and only by a select few people/advocates. Young minds are easily led, the prescribing of medication to young kids to halt their normal growth should not be allowed till they are old enough to make an informed decision, if they want to change gender as an adult(18 plus) it is then their business but not when they are not even teenagers or barely teenagers. Maybe in years to come it may become more normal for older kids but at this stage it just doesnt seem to be appropriate, years ago gay marriage was considered wrong but eventually the right decisions were made by some govts

You're exaggerating greatly. Trying to create a boogie man where none exists. Parents that have children dealing with these issues face a lot of challenges already without ignorance and bigotry.

+1 for Thailand.

US completely fell apart after the homosexual marriage thing. All the trans__ nonsense. Gender politics. Use of gender pronouns absolutely toxic. 21c feminism. The catfights between the trannies who want to be women and the dykes that insist on some bizzzzare notion of third gender is my favorite drama.

and you appear to be refusing to accept the truth for what ever reason, I went through the gay thing with my daughter and while some find it hard I didnt, I accepted it and got on great with her and her partner. You only have to read the reports coming out of the US to see it is happening, there is no exaggeration, it is happening (not everywhere) and I just pointed out it is, no creating bogie men as you claim, the truth is there for all to see if they look.

Was going to have my say but why bother. These special needs groups will always want more.

Parents dealing with a gay child and parents dealing with a possibly transgender child are very different things. The fact that you tried to conflate them tells a lot.

The USA does have serious problems but to blame them on legal same sex marriage is WACKY.

Wanting equal civil rights is so unreasonable.

While the country has been a mess since Bush 2 culturally. I wholeheartedly place the latest madness at the feet of the SWJs which absolutely include the homosexual and transX crowd. Lack of free speech in university campuses. Safe zones lol. Triggering.

Funny that. You sound very triggered yourself.

There are 100% equal rights. Absolute. There is nothing in the US that I do that you cannot do. I claim NO rights that I am not willing to afford you.

The funny thing is - in nature they would end up being lunch. It's how mistakes are taken care off.

Humans used to have fairly good system in weeding it too, but now nobody is nuts, crazy, or sick. They are all "special" "beautiful" and "brave" or even "stunning". Hurt feelings is the crime of 201x

Have the same equal civil rights as I have, what more do you want. Because a queer is special? Enough thanks.

Of course it is 100% correct. You're hardly short of words on this board yet nothing more said. Rest my case.

Thank you for posting the link to this story.

HeyHeyHey, possibly does not understand the differences between gender, sexual orientation, gender variances, but feels free to display his lack of knowledge.

Sounds like fascist ideology that you're promoting.

There is a difference between gender and sexual orientation

Some children at a  young age are identifying as transgender, that is not reflective of sexual orientation.

Then we have Intersex people with gender variance differences from birth.

That's all. Equal civil rights. That hasn't happened yet in the USA or Thailand  though Thailand is the worse case in this regard and definitely NEEDS the commission that was rejected.
