How does this play out in the real world? Say Immigration checks a school's residence. That will be a 6-figure for TM-30 violations for the school as "landlord" and the same amount for the teachers as tenants.

No B-VISA during the probationary period.

Q1: What are the fines here? What goes down?

* Arrests and deportations?

Q2: Schools hire folks on Ed VISAs.

Q: care to comment on this TV thread and how this might impact your own situation?

If you're working without a work permit, that's illegal. If  you're in the country past the expiration of your permission to stay, that's illegal. Presumably if discovered you'd be detained and deported.

As far as no visa runs is concerned, the article seems to raise more questions than it answers, but the quote

Quote

Immigration Division 6 chief Pol Maj-General Tatchai Pitaneelabut, who oversees immigration affairs in the South, said visa runners come from several countries, including Vietnam, South Korea and Russia

seems to suggest it's targeting a limited category of people.

Working without a valid work permit and non-B/non-O can get you arrested and deported.

Your quoted thread is from 2014 and irrelevant now.
