It's a little bit behind the times. If on the same track, you would be looking at an i3-9100 and a B365 chipset as opposed to B360.

 

The Kingston A1000 240GB with it's Read: 1,500MBs / Write 800MBs figures at 1650 baht, compares poorly against the ADATA 256GB XPG SX8200 Pro PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 SSD for 1490 baht; Read: 3500MBs / Write: 1200MBs

Of course you don't copy exactly. For instance you may be happy with the internal graphics of the i3-9100, as opposed to getting the i3-9100F and adding a graphics card.

 

You might decide to go down the AMD route, with perhaps an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G in conjunction with the https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/readProduct/34555/1239/MAINBOARD--เมนบอร์ด--AM4-ASROCK-X570M-PRO4

 

Then to use the https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/ to choose the other components. No need for a separate graphics card.

I followed the Ryzen build guide and came up with this, a little cheaper:

The reason that what I proposed is downgraded from what you recommended is mainly price.  The Ryzen5 3400 CPU and the motherboard with the X570 chipset increases the price 7.320 baht. The Ryzen starter gaming build recommendation says to use the Ryzen3 3200 CPU and a motherboard with a B450 chipset but cautions that in/on some boards that the CPU might not work unless the BIOS is changed, not my thing.  It recommends either downgrading to the 2200 CPU with reduced performance (600 baht less) or upgrading to a motherboard with an X570 chipset (3360 baht more)  I chose the  cheaper, but the specs on the Asrock board with the B450 chipset says it will perform with the 3000 series CPUs so I would most likely go with that if I do anything!

I cannot recommend that Motherboard. Especially with it's outdated 1 x PCIe 2.0 x1 Slot. 

 

You want a minimum of a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot for the NVMe drive.

 

Not point in buying already outdated technology.

1 Ultra M.2 (PCIe Gen3 x4 & SATA3)* is included on this Motherboard. So you can choose either Motherboard.

 

JJ must have missed it. 

 

But it makes sense to go for the Pro version.

 

USB 3.1 Gen 1 is just the old USB 3.0 specification. Gen 2 is double the speed.

 

JIB prices seem a bit high. InvadeIT has the Pro4 Motherboard for 2450 baht

It's a good thing that you have a lot of RAM on-board, since you chose an SSD without DRAM;

Had no idea, just read about using SSD for the O.S. + from you in a Post on here... 

 

Bought it from Advice at Westgate, the one good thing at Westgate is Advice + JIB are next door to each other and often cheaper than any online places..........  just looked on Lazada at the MX500  cost 1,000 baht more than Invadit....  !!

Do the display port to VGA adapters work.  The prices are all over the place, some are passive and some active but they look the same.  I can also use either a disolay to HDMI or display to DVI.  Which, if any, is best?

 

The resason that I am asking is that I am still locking at a new computer build.  I've kinda settled on either a Ryzen3 3200G with a B450PRO 4 MB which has AVG, HDMI, and DVI output ports, or at Ryzen5 3400G with an X570 PRO 4 MB which only has an HDMI and display output ports.  I would need to use the adapter to connect my monitor since it does not have a Display input port.  I cannot find a MB with the X570 chipset that has an HDMI port and either a DVI or VGA port, only a display port.

 

The other option,with reduced performance, but much cheaper (3240 baht cheaper), is to use the B450 PrO 4 MB with the Ryzen5 3400G

 

I want to  just use the MB graphic outputs to see if they do what I want before I decide whether to purchase a GPU since I will only be watching streamed video and not playing games.

 

The Ryzen5 3400G has better embedded graphics, Radeon Vega 11 rather than Radeon Vega 8.

 

My current system is working okay with only an occasional Firefox crash since I replaced the power supply and disconnected the GPU HDMI output.  Boot time is repeatable and under 30 seconds.  That'll teach me to buy used equipment as I know that you are just buying someone else's problem!
