Because of course how could a sixteen year old possibly hold opinions of their own, let alone choose of their own free will to act upon them.

But then: some of the most 'confused' members of ThaiVisa tend to hold in older age the same weird opinions they had when they were 16.

It isn't her message.

Her public pronouncements are being managed as carefully as a drone strike, by a group of career climate activists, notably Jennifer Morgan, who has worked with Greenpeace, WWF, Third Generation Environmentalism, US Climate Action Network, European Business Council for Sustainable Energy, New Climate Economy etc etc.

The unfortunate Greta is being used as a human shield to push extreme environmental policies which she probably barely understands, whose every utterance is the second-hand opinion of alarmist grown-ups whose doomsday claims she is completely unequipped to assess.

Mere emotional blackmail from the "progressive" Green/Left. It's what they do.

One may wonder why you ONLY post on the subject of climate. Is there something about you that you are not sharing?

Next you will be calling them gretaphobic! Like all all eco extremists she is deluded and manipulated.

No, the common theme demonisation of a female with an opinion. Quite a few blokes here really struggle with the concept, let alone the reality.

Love the emotive language though 'EXTREMIST!!!', like she's going to blow up something shortly. She sailed a boat across the Atlantic <deleted>. Hardly extremist.

You seem to be confusing the word extremist with the word terrorist. Nobody is calling her a terrorist. A lot of the views she has been force fed could be considered fairly extreme IMO.

She seems a nice enough kid, but I can't help thinking she should be out having fun with her friends at that age rather than being promoted as some kind of Messiah by the Climate Change cultists, especially given her mental health issues described by her parents.

There you go again. She's on the autism spectrum, which is entirely different to mental health issues.

Sure she should be out with her mates, and maybe she would if believed that there weren't bigger issues than her. Cutting people down like this in Australia is know as the tall poppy syndrome and says more about the critic than the intended target.

The unproven 'mental health' term has been used as a smear by her critics.

This pretty much sums up my own assessment of the situation:

(Content not poster please, & that includes KH who has raised this valid point)

That is one of the scariest videos I've ever seen. One can only hope she receives the support she needs in order to escape the hype.

So sad.
