Short film wins award for mental health

OCPB seizes e-cigarettes illegally sold online

Culture Ministry includes 18 traditions in national cultural heritage list

Improvements made to TM30 online as business leaders call for review of controversial reporting requirement

19th ThaiTECT Annual Meeting urges Thailand to become medical hub

BANGKOK (NNT) - The 19th ThaiTECT Annual Meeting has been held to exchange academic knowledge between the public and private sectors in order to make Thailand a medical hub. The research sector has expressed the hope that Thailand will be able to conduct research and develop new drugs that meet international standards to cure diseases that currently cannot be cured.

Interior Ministry asks provincial governors to find answers to people’s problems

Second group of Thai fishermen return from Somalia

BANGKOK (NNT) - A second batch of 14 Thai fishing crewmembers who had been employed on Vadani 2 fishing vessel, have returned from Somalia to Thailand. They follow the first group of 18 others who had been employed on the Vadani 1 fishing boat and were returned to Thailand earlier. The Thai fishermen who had been stranded at sea off Somalia returned home safely. Authorities are taking steps to help them with overdue wages and other benefits.

PHUKET: Phuket Immigration this week made it very clear that foreigners applying for any extension of stay will not be held liable for filing the TM30 form, made infamous in recent weeks by waves of confusion elsewhere in the country.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Sirhan Sirhan, the Palestinian refugee found guilty of shooting U.S. presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy to death in 1968, was wounded in a stabbing at a California prison on Friday, according to media reports.
