Johnny Depp is a familiar figure on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival, but now it’s his daughter stealing the limelight.

Far from riding on the coat-tails of her famous parents, the doll-faced blonde, whose mother is Johnny’s ex, French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis, was there in her own right as she was attending the premiere of her new film, The King, in which she plays Catherine de Valois, the wife of Henry V.

 

‘A lot of people think I’m only acting because of my dad,’ she has said. ‘I think because of that it makes me want to work twice as hard to prove to everyone that I’m not just doing this because it’s easy to do.’
