Fungus in finger nails - help!

See a dermatologist.

Not everything that looks like fungus is. Lichen planus for example can look much the same. And, if it is fungus, the effective meds can't be bought over the counter.

Suggest you see Dr. Parichart at St Louis Hospital

Try Funginox available OTC for a few days. But like Sheryl says you might want to see a doctor.

Don't want to discourage you but nail fungus can be fiercely stubborn. I got it years ago, beat it down with Funginox to one particular finger but that one keeps popping up every couple of months (some remnant spores deep under the nails I assume).

Needless to say keep your nails as short as possible and use a separate clipper on afflicted ones.

This is a good point. I thought I had a nail fungus on my large toe, but 6 months later it disappeared. No way nail fungus just disappears, so it must have been something else. Doesn't help to treat the wrong thing.
