PM says he will handle the Opposition’s debate himself

 

 

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said today (Tuesday) that he is not worried about the Opposition’s debate against him over the incomplete oath recital issue as he reiterated his innocent intention.

 

“Why worry?” he said when responding to a reporter’s question about the debate against him scheduled for September 18, adding however, that he did it himself and, therefore, had to take responsibility for it.

 

The Prime Minister said that he believed there are many MPs in parliament who know what is good or bad for the country and there are many good MPs in parliament but, in the end, he said that it was Thai society that will judge the MPs in the parliament.

Except they dont have the ability to when the military and existing government control the election process and the choosing of the upper Senate. 

Just take the oath and be done with it.  What are you afraid of?

Nobody can judge him.  He is above that as we all have seen for over 5 years.

With the election rigged from the start, and freedom of speech almost non-existent I'd like to know how they can do that?

Adjustment and 44 is what you need.

Thailand’s Constitutional Court has ruled that Prayut Chan-ocha and the cabinet did not breach the constitution when they failed to recite the correct oath at their swearing-in ceremony.

The Office of the Ombudsman ruled that Prayut and his cabinet violated the constitution.

 

Now, probably debate in parliament on 18th september won't be going on

He did not make the oath. He will not hold to the constitution. Because someone told him not to. And you are not allowed to talk about it. Debate what?

Spot on. Such a shame that the real Thai journalists here can't actually ask the questions about this issue.

don't agree with his sentence....Thai society will not "allowed" judge MP's & parliament, it's all judged by his elite of friends, they decide who does/says what.... whom is he trying to kidding, just re-do the damn oath and call it even

Smug <deleted> doesn't care, everything is sorted. Courts, Senate weak opposition and a blessing from above.

Easy to see that this country has been, is, and will be into the future, well and truly screwed.

The court's explanation for its decision to reject the case leaves no doubt about it (see in the other journal).
