No arrest warrants in mysterious death of Bangkok model that has gripped Thailand

Police in Bangkok have said that justice will prevail and that no arrest warrants have yet been issued in the death of a Bangkok drinks party hostess. 

 

Now another hostess is believed to hold the key to her death. 

 

The case of the death of Thitima Naraphanphiphat or "Lanlabelle" has captivated Thailand this week with the public and media speculating on every possible angle. 

 

She was found dead on a sofa in the lobby of a condominium in the Bang Khun Thian area on Tuesday night. 

 

CCTV footage showed her being carried there by a man who had attended a drinks party on the other side of town with her. She appeared unconscious. 

 

Ratchadech Wongthabut or "Nam Un" has been the subject of much of the speculation about his involvement in Lanlabelle's death. The family of the victim have voiced their concern about his role.

 

Chief of the Region 8 metropolitan police Maj-Gen Samrit Tongtao said that no arrest warrants had been issued in the case as the police were waiting for the full details from the autopsy.

 

 

After a meeting with police working on the case Maj-Gen Samrit said that contrary to claims on social media it was not true that "Nam Un" had a date rape drug in his possession.

 

He just had condoms and an aphrodisiac. 

 

Samrit promised a full investigation and justice to all. 

 

A national police spokesman also implored the Thai public to let the police get on with their job and stop speculating on the case, reported TNA. 

 

There is no chance of that as the media clamber to get every lead they can. 

 

Maj-Gen Samrit provided one tantalizing clue about the possible resolution of the case, however. 

 

He said that there were ten people at the drinks party where Lanlabelle was paid to entertain clients.

 

Nine people have been interviewed but one remains - a "pretty" who holds the key, he said.

I can only surmise that this Nam Un chap is uber-connected. Not in the same league as a Yoovidhaya you understand but possibly a bit more of a Thephasadin Na Ayudhya than a Viraporn.

'Justice' in Thailand ?   Don't make me laugh !

Aphrodisiac?

The video footage on the news was strange and sad to see.

 

CCTV from street, condo and lifts - he carries the unconscious girl from his car, drags her into the lift then to his condo.   Then carries her back down, dumps her on the sofa and beggers off.

 

Hospital said the poor girl had been dead over 6 hours.

 

Nothing suspicious about that at all - move along - he's explained everything. ????

The police could have jailed him for failure to render assistance causing possibly the death of the woman.

Thai police language that means "we haven't found any Burmese yet". Yeah, it's kind of hard to find them nowadays, since most foreigners have been kicked out of Thailand. Should have kept some overstayers handy for cases like these.

Come on. This type of private party activity happens all the time here. While I can only speak hypothetically based on the story posted, she clearly was hired as an escort type for the party. Something went wrong as many of them do and that's that. Drugs, alcohol and private parties... 

 

Sad outcome for the gal for sure but good luck getting it all figured out. The fact that the Thai people are gripped by it is honestly surprising.

I think that they are gripped by the behavior of the man involved.  Brings her back drunk, shags her on deaths door (purple lips and all) and then dumps her dead body in the lobby ... all the while texting his friends.  Bad stuff happens every day in the kingdom but this has enough freakish aspects to make it gripping.  Agreed, “pretty” being raped is not news and not unexpected.

Had her underwear been disturbed? 

Doesn't need much beauty to be a model now in LOS ...

Been on the news every day this week, what’s so special about this from other murders or accidents here.

I saw the CCTV footage with the sound off.

Assumed she was drunk and passed out, it's not uncommon, you take them home, chuck them on the bed/sofa, and they wake up next day and go home. Probably panicked when he realised she wasn't breathing.

 

Doesn't mean he killed her, just means he was a bit foolish after the event.

Nothing new in Thailand where your finances and your family name/connections are taken into account before charges are laid

In the video, the POS, is aware of and concerned about his hair and clothes when in the elevator, plus he walks up to her laying on the couch and looks like he takes a picture of her.  What a pathetic, vain...POS!

True.  But any decent human being would have made sure she was ok, called for a medical welfare check, something, not dump her on a couch and walk away...

She was wasted when she was in the lift  that looks like good old rohypnol she's been drugged. 

She <deleted> herself on his bed. Then dropped dead possibly she was on other meds mixed with rohypnol can cause massive cardio infarction. 

The dude even  posted on his Fb this is gf number 100...  Before he dumped her down stairs.  

What I want to know is how did  her relatives know she was there as they were knocking on the condo reception doors who made the call???

Maybe the police maj gen. can explain to us what's the difference between a "date rape drug" and "an aphrodisiac."

 

And I guess it kinda depends on whether it was an aphrodisiac for HIM that he consumed or an aphrodisiac for HER that he gave her, with her consent or not.
